Gracias por contratar tu curso de Licencia de Navegación con Greenwich Náutica. Tu curso tiene dos partes, una formación práctica y una formación teórica. En estas instrucciones, te explicamos cómo llegar al lugar de la práctica y cómo acceder a la parte teórica del curso. También, puedes encontrar algunos apuntes y consejos. Te rogamos que leas este documento con cuidado.

Fecha de inicio

La fecha y horario de tu curso están indicados en la Orden de Matrícula.

Horario de curso

Si has elegido el turno de mañana, el horario es de 09:30-13:30.
Si has elegido el turno de tarde, el horario es de 14:00-18:00.

Turno de mañana, a las 09:20.

Si vas a llegar tarde al punto de reunión, es muy importante que avises al instructor.

Enviaremos los datos del instructor 24 horas antes del inicio de la práctica.

Ropa y equipo personal

La ropa debe ser de abrigo, cómoda y práctica. En función de la época del año, debes prever más o menos abrigo. El calzado debe ser cómodo y con un buen agarre. Unos náuticos o zapatillas de suela blanda serán la mejor opción. Protector solar todo el año y en verano debes de llevar gafas de sol y una gorra.

Si no estás acostumbrado al mar o tienes tendencia al mareo pide consejo a tu farmacéutico.

Puedes llevar cuaderno y bolígrafo para tomar notas.

Debes de llevar agua y algún tentempié (frutos secos, barritas energéticas, fruta por ejemplo). Por Seguridad, no está permitida la ingesta de alcohol a bordo.

Previsión meteorológica

No olvides comprobar la previsión meteorológica antes de elegir tu ropa. Entra en la página web de la AEMET (http://www.aemet.es) y busca la localidad Denia.

Evaluación de las prácticas

No hay un examen formal, pero debes de tener en cuenta que esperamos una participación activa. El instructor no firmará ningún certificado cuando el nivel de asistencia sea inferior al 95%.

Después de la práctica, te enviaremos un cuestionario para que tú evalúes la práctica, tanto a nivel administrativo como a nivel docente. Tus comentarios aqui son muy importantes para nosotros. Igualmente, sería de mucha utilidad para nosotros si pudieras dejar un comentario en las redes sociales.

Fotografía

Esperamos que tengas un gran día con nosotros y entendemos que quieras sacar fotos e, incluso publicarlas en tu página de Facebook … Si tomas fotos con imágenes de tus compañeros, te rogamos que pidas su permiso antes de publicarlas. A veces, hay menores abordo (participantes con edad entre 16-18 años). En estos casos, te pedimos que nunca publiques las fotos.

Es muy probable que tu instructor tome unos fotos para compartir con el grupo. Si no quieres que salga ninguna imagen tuya, indícalo por favor al instructor. De todos modos, también puedes indicarlo en el Contrato de Enseñanza.

Certificado médico

Para poder expedir el certificado de la Licencia de Navegación es necesario que presentes tu certificado médico. Hasta que tenemos el médico no podemos emitir la licencia.

Cancelaciones

El curso podrá ser cancelado cuando las condiciones meteorológicas lo aconsejen o por causas de fuerza mayor. En el supuesto de cancelación puedes reservar otra fecha disponible. Enviaremos la confirmación final tres días antes del inicio de la práctica.

Si tienes que contratar alojamiento o transporte, te recomendamos esperar a una confirmación final por parte de la escuela, ya que, las prácticas podrían verse canceladas por causas ajenas a la escuela como temporales, aunque, no son hechos habituales.

Cambios clases prácticas

Una vez realizada la reserva, puedes cambiar la fecha y hora de tu curso con hasta 10 días de antelación al día programado.

FORMACIÓN TEÓRICA

La parte teórica de la Licencia de Navegación es una parte indispensable de tu curso. En el curso teórico aprenderás, entre otras materias:

• Limitaciones a la navegación en playas
• Normativa respecto al tráfico marítimo
• Marcas laterales de la región A
• Forma de gobernar la embarcación
• RIPA: reglas 4 a 8, 11 a 19 y 37
• Nociones básicas radio VHF portátil

El curso teórico para obtener la licencia requiere aproximadamente 2 horas de estudio online. Abajo, puedes encontrar instrucciones de cómo acceder al curso online. Te aconsejamos que estudies los contenidos del curso antes de asistir a la formación práctica.

Regularmente, organizamos cursos presenciales en nuestra escuela en Madrid. Puedes asistir a estas sesiones antes o después de tu formación práctica. De todos modos, siempre y cuando acudas a la práctica con un certificado médico, te expediremos tu Licencia de Navegación el mismo dia de la práctica.

Cómo acceder al campus online

En nuestro Campus Online, encontrarás las lecciones con las ideas clave sobre cada tema, actividades para poner en práctica lo aprendido, test de autoevaluación y hasta un foro de apoyo y dudas.

Para acceder a la plataforma de Greenwich Náutica, debes escribir la dirección en la barra de direcciones del navegador.

La dirección web es: campus.greenwichnautica.es

Tendrás que registrarte en la plataforma y, a continuación, inscribirte en tu curso. ¡Es muy fácil!

Paso 1 Crear una cuenta en campus.greenwichnautica.es

Para crear tu cuenta debes proceder así:

• regístrate en la plataforma online de Greenwich Náutica: campus.greeenwichnautica.com
  
• introduce los datos que te soliciten: nombre, apellidos, e-mail, etc.;
  
• recibirás un e-mail de confirmación con un link de activación de la cuenta;
• haz click en el link.

Ya puedes acceder al campus.

Paso 2 Acceder a tu curso

Para acceder a tu curso debes seguir los siguientes pasos:

• accede al campus con tu nombre de usuario y contraseña;
• haz click sobre la pestaña “Licencia de Navegación” en el apartado "Matricúlate en tu curso";
• introduce la clave de registro: “LicGN2023D” (sin comillas).

Una vez que estés inscrito, el nombre de tu curso aparecerá siempre en la sección “Mis cursos” cada vez que inicies sesión.

Para completar el componente teórico del curso, recomendamos una dedicación de al menos 2 horas de estudio. Tienes un acceso de 6 meses al componente online del curso.

Podrás acceder a la plataforma a través de tu ordenador personal, un smartphone o tablet, tanto iOS como Android.

Una vez estés inscrito, el nombre de tu curso aparecerá siempre en la sección “Mis cursos” cada vez que inicies sesión.

Spanish Boat Licence
with Greenwich Náutica

Thank you for booking your Boat Licence course with the Boat School, a division of Greenwich Náutica. Your course has two parts, on-the-water  practical training and an online theory course. In these instructions, we explain how to get to the course venue as well as how to access the online theory course. Also, you can find some notes and tips. We kindly ask you to read this document carefully.

Start date

The date and time of your course are indicated in the Booking Receipt.

Course schedule

If you have chosen the morning shift, the hours are from 09:30-13:30.
If you have chosen the afternoon shift, the hours are from 14:00 to 18:00.

If you are going to be late at the meeting point, it is very important that you notify the instructor.

We will send the instructor's contact details 24 hours before the start of the practical course.

Clothing and personal equipment

Clothing should be warm, comfortable and practical. Please bring clothing appropriate for the time of year. Your footwear should be comfortable and with a good grip. Boat shoes or soft-soled shoes are the best option. Sunscreen all year round and in the Summer you should wear sunglasses and a cap.

If you are not used to the sea or are prone to sea sickness, ask your pharmacist for advice.

You can bring a notebook and pen or pencil to take notes.

We suggest you bring water and some snacks (nuts, energy bars, fruit for example). For safety reasons, the intake of alcohol on board is not allowed.

Weather forecast

Don't forget to check the weather forecast before choosing your clothes. Go to the AEMET website (http://www.aemet.es) and search for Denia.

Evaluation of your practical course

There is no formal exam, but please note that we expect active participation. The instructor can't legally sign off on your licence if your  attendance level is less than 95%.

After the practical course, we will send you a questionnaire so that you can evaluate the practice. Your comments here are very important to us. It would be very useful for us if you could leave a comment on social networks.

Photography

We hope you have a great day with us and we understand that you want to take photos and even post them on social media … If you take photos with images of your fellow students, please ask their permission before posting them. Sometimes, there are minors on board (participants aged between 16-18 years). In these cases, we ask that you never post the photos.

Your instructor will most likely take some photos to share with the group. If you do not want any image of yourself to appear, please tell the instructor. You can also indicate this in the image consent form.

Medical certificate

In order to issue your Boat Licence, you must present your medical certificate. Until we have this certificate, we cannot issue the license.

Cancellations

The course may be canceled when the weather conditions advise or due to force majeure. In the event of cancellation you can reserve another available date.

We will send the final confirmation for your course three days before the start.

If you have to hire accommodation or transport, we recommend you wait for a final confirmation from the school, since the internships could be canceled for reasons beyond the school's control as temporary, although they are not common events.

Changes to your practical course

Once your reservation is confirmed, you can change the date and time of your course up to 10 days before the scheduled date.

THEORETICAL TRAINING

The theoretical part of the Navigation License is an indispensable part of your course. In the theoretical course you will learn, among other subjects:

• Limitations to navigation on beaches
• Regulations regarding maritime traffic
• Lateral marks of IALA region A
• Boat handling
• COLREGs rules 4 to 8, 11 to 19 and 37
• Basic notions portable VHF radio

The theoretical course to obtain the license requires approximately 2 hours of online study. Below, you can find instructions on how to access the online course. We advise you to study the contents of the course before attending the practical training.

How to access the online campus

To access the Greenwich Nautical platform, type the web address in the address bar of the browser.

The web address is: campus.greenwichnautica.es

In our Online Campus, you will find lessons with the key ideas on each topic, activities to put what you have learned into practice, self-assessment tests and even a forum.

We have created an account for you at the Greenwich online campus and we have sent you the username and password. If you can't find the email with your user data in your inbox, it may have gone to your spam folder.

To access your course, you will have to access the platform with your user details and then register for the Boating License course on the online campus. To enroll in your course you must follow the following steps:

Access the campus with your username and password
Click on the "Licencia de Navegación" tab in the "Enroll in your course" section.
Enter the registration key: LicGN2023D

How to Register if You're Part of a Group

If someone else has made the reservation (for example, if you're part of a group), the group "organizer" will receive an access code to the online course. In this case, you'll need to create your own account. It's very easy! You'll need to register on the platform and then enroll in your course.

Step 1: Create an Account on campus.greenwichnautica.es

To create your account, follow these steps:

Register on the Greenwich Náutica online platform: campus.greenwichnautica.com.
Enter the required information: name, surname, email, etc.
You'll receive a confirmation email with an account activation link.
Click on the link.
Now you can access the campus.

Step 2: Access Your Course

To access your course, follow these steps:

Log in to the campus with your username and password.
Click on the "Licencia de Navegación" tab in the "Matricúlate en tu curso" section.
Enter the registration code: "LicGN2023M" (without quotes).
Once you're enrolled, the name of your course will always appear in the "My courses" section every time you log in.

To complete the theoretical component of the course, we recommend a dedication of at least 2 hours of study. You have a 6-month access to the online component of the course.

You can access the platform through your personal computer, a smartphone or tablet, both iOS and Android.
